Holland and Spain were the 1st timers to reach the final. As it was a stalemate after 90 minutes, Go on to extra time and see who win the world cup 4 this year. 4 minutes to go to penalties, finally we have a goal that will sends Spain clinch their 1st world cup trophy. Spain are the european and the world cup champions after they beat Holland 1-0 in after extra time. Spain are crown as champions. It has finally ended.

Germany finish 3rd.

In an interesting 3rd/4th place playoff. Germany fought behind and they turn the game around to win Uruguay 3-2. Germany's Thomas Mueller have been impressive with this tounamentand he scored a goal. That is his 5th goal of the tournament and he was tied with Holland's Wesley Sneidar and David Villa with 5 goals in the world cup. As Uruguay equalised to a goal from cavani. The half time score is 1-1. 2nd Half, Uruguay take a shock lead with a brillant strike from Diego Forlan to make 2-1 for the South Americans, 5 minutes later, Marcell jensen has put Germany level up to make it to 2-2. Still anyone's game for the winning. 8 minutes, Sami Khedira has won the game for Germany. Germany 3 Uruguay 2. Germany clinched 3rd place and Uruguay clinched 4th in the 3rd/4th place playoff in the world cup.

Spain face holland...

The semi final between Spain and Germany is very interesting. These 2 countries meet in the final of Euro 2008 and which was won by Spain. Fernado Torres score the only goal in that game. They met again in South Africa for a place in the final to play against Holland to win the ultimate champion og the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The same old score line in 2008 and Spain win 1-0 in this world cup semi-final clash and the euro 2008 final. Carlos Puyol heads Spain the winner and they broke the Germans of progressing to the final. Heartbroken for the Germans. Germany and Uruguay will need to get a least 3rd place when they play each other on Saturday. As for Holland and Spain. 2 contenders, 1 ultimate trophy, who will win the 2010 FIFA world Cup? Sunday is the ultimate final in Soccer City, Johannesburg.

Holland are in the final...

Semi final is on the way as Uruguay and Holland fight for a place in the final on July 11. As the final outcome was Holland win Uruguay by 3 goals to 2. It was a close game. Holland were taking a 2 goal advantage in 70 minutes and that time the scoreline was Uruguay 1 Holland 3. But in stoppage time, Uruguay have a goal back but is a little too late. As Holland proceed into the final and Uruguay will go into 3rd/4th place playoff on Saturday 10 July.

Back to school 2morrow

Back to school 2morrow but not go to Bedok ITE but is Balestier ITE. I still not have enough of holidays already... I want to feel in Balestier ITE is it bigger than Bedok ITE. I hope it is bigger. 2morrow back to school to check it out!!!!! WOOHOO!!!

2 teams into last 4.

Uruguay and Holland are through to the last 4 and now Spain and Germany will follow them in to the semi finals of the world cup... Germany dumped Argentina by 4 goals. Goals from Arne Friedrich, Thomas Mueller and two goals from Miroslav Klose that send Germany into the last 4 to play either Paraguay or Spain.
In the other game between Paraguay and Spain, plenty of dramas in this match at Ellis Park, Johannesburg. A penalty for paraguay in the 57 minutes and a minute later Spain are awarded another penalty. Spain have to take twice the penalty while Alonso takes it from the penalty spot for the 1st time. It should be a goal but the referee says the penalty should be taken again. The reason was some Spain players were running inside the penalty box. The 2nd take from Xabi Alonso was a marvellous save by the Paraguay goalkeeper. 7 minutes to go, Spain won the game through new Barcelona man David Villa who won the game for his country to play against Germany on Wednesday. His 5th goal of the competition. but finally, Germany and Spain fight for a spot in the final.

1 big shock of the tounament...

The quarter final has played on friday july 2 and there is a shock for Brazil as they were crash out of the tournament by the hands of the Netherlands... Netherlands were 1 goal down at half time and they turned the game around in the 2nd half... That is unbelievable but I thpught Brazil will win the game but in the end they lost... And Netherlands were through into the last 4. Uruguay were struggling in the quarter final clash against Ghana. The game has finish 1-1 in 90 mins and extra time... The defining moment of that game was Luis Suarez was red carded because the Ghana players were saying that it was handball by Suarez. I thought that is there any african country inside the last 4? But fortunately, the penalty kick for Ghana was over the bar... Uruguay beat Ghana on penalties 4-2. And they are through into the last 4. Uruguay play Netherlands on 6 July to find a place in the final on the 11 July in Soccer City, Johannesburg.
